Our Thanksgiving Celebration was a wonderful event. We had over 40 volunteers come and serve a beautiful “sit-down” meal to our community. They did everything from decorate, to make salads and slice desserts. What a feast it was.
Our meal started with cheese and crackers, pickles and olives, rolls and butter on the table for our guests to munch on while they were served. We then had fresh pinapple slices and tossed salad ready to bring to the table. Our main meal was turkey with stuffing, mashed potato’s and squash with lots of gravy. As you can see by the picture, it was a full meal. For dessert a yearly volunteer donated sweet potato pies. Yum, Yum! We also had apple and pumpkin pies to round out the choices. We ended up serving 148 guests and each one got a gift bag of candy and granola bars for their trip home.
