Yes, after three long years of trying to replace our outdated wheelchair lift, (which was no longer made and we could not get replacement parts for) we finally have a vertical lift for those who cannot take our steep staircase or are in wheelchairs.
We are so grateful to two large Rochester companies, a few Catholic Parishes and several individual donators who designated funding for this much needed and city required improvement. Our old wheelchair lift could only accommodate wheelchairs so therefore some of our volunteering senior cititzen’s who had trouble with our steps would have to stop coming. This lift allows anyone who wants to visit us or volunteer, to come with no exceptions.
We are thrilled with this great blessing. Special thanks to Robert Monahan, our architect and Dean LaDelpha from Access Elevator who worked with us to ensure that we had the best possible lift for the most economical cost.
