The Holiday Season is Here!

The holidays are often a wonderful time, however, it can also be a tough season for many of the folks who come to the Kitchen. Focused on creating a compassionate community, we offer additional services during the holiday season.

This is our busiest time of the year and we love it!!  Please consider volunteering or making a financial or in-kind donation during the holidays.

Thanksgiving

Baskets: St. Peter’s will distribute over 100 food baskets the week before Thanksgiving. We are still in need of pies!! (sweet potato and pumpkin especially)

Thanksgiving Meal: on Thanksgiving (Nov 24th) at noon, we will serve a full holiday meal at the Kitchen.

*If you are interested in volunteering, please call (235-6511) or email (info@stpeterskitchen.org) for more information.

Christmas

Toy Store: every year, we run a toy store where community members can pick out new toys and gifts for children in their household (children 12 and under). If you are interested in signing up to “shop” in the Store, please come to St. Peter’s during lunch (12-1) Monday-Friday from now until November 15.

Toys Needed!! we need to fill the toy store will lots of great toys and gifts for children ages 12 and under. Board games, dolls, arts and crafts, books, … are needed. Please drop off new toys at St. Peter’s M-F between 8-11 AM or 2-4 PM. Call or email for more information.

Blanket Give-away: we give a new blanket as a holiday gift to all our adult guests so we need LOTS of soft, warm blankets. Preferably queen and twin size. Like the toys, blankets can be dropped off M-F 8-11 and 2-4. Of course call or email for more info!

Christmas meal: on Christmas Day from noon to 1 pm, we will serve a feast with all the fixins’. Another great volunteer opportunity. If you are interested in a fulfilling way to spend Christmas please contact us about volunteering.
