Volunteer Training
Welcome to the ranks of our volunteer work force! We are so excited to have you join us in our food service to our community.
Many things have changed since we first opened our doors in 1982 and one of those things is volunteer training. Now with all the health codes we are required to uphold, it is critical that all those who volunteer consistently be trained with current information on handling food and serving the public.
We know this is asking a lot, but we are a ministry of doing the best we can for our community, and we are determined to be ethical and upstanding in our efforts to meet the demands of running a food service program.
All those who are working once a month a or more need to complete an online course on food handling and take the quiz which will be issued through the Foodlink organization.
The Volunteer Information Packet you have received from Victor Gomez our Volunteer Coordinator will have our Organization Code which you will need to take the quiz.
After completing the video and passing the quiz, you will be emailed a certificate from Food Link.
Please email this certificate to victor@stpeterskitchen.org for our records.
Watch the video below. This will take about 30 minutes.
**(As you can see) we are currently having technical difficulties with the video.
The same video is available by googling: 'Foodlink Rochester volunteer training'. A short list of videos will populate. Forward to the second page and click on the February 17, 2017 video 'Basic Food Safety - Prepared Meal Programs, by Foodlink with the green and red color theme.
You can watch and take the practice quizzes, then contact Victor at victor@stpeterskitchen.org
